A Few Words About Me
Hi! My name is Josh. I love math, finance, and investing. A few years ago I started looking at historical data for stocks to see if mathematical patterns could be identified. After all, wouldn't it be great to invest with limited risk and a predictable return?
I think most investors make decisions on pure speculation. A certain stock or sector is hot so jump on board! Another sector is crashing so abandon ship! Usually there is little or no understanding of the stock/fund/bond, why it is going up or down, and will it continue to go up or down. In fact, no one can know if a stock, index, bond, or any investment will go up or down tomorrow.

When I was in school for my MBA, my finance professors espoused that the stock market follows the efficient market hypothesis and the random walk hypothesis. I believe both of these are true. However, mathematical analysis can expose certainties in various investments that intelligent decisions can be made. My goal for this site to to gather together like minded investors so that we can all become more well informed and more successful.
